We saw Polar Bear moms with their 3 month old cubs, some of them emerging from their dens for the very first time. It is a remarkable sight; the moms haven't eaten a meal for the past 6 months while they have been denning. The cubs are fascinated by the new world that they are entering, and spend their time sparring with their sibling, sleeping, nursing and climbing on their mom. Polar bears are the largest land carnivore on the planet, but these moms are very tender with their cubs.
